Shawarma

The Udio alternative for instrumentals you shape

Udio and Suno make whole songs from a prompt, often with vocals. To get something different, you make a new version.

Shawarma makes instrumentals only, and keeps the song open. Ask for busier drums, brighter keys or a breakdown, and hear the change while the song plays. The rest stays as it was.

One groove, changed twice

  1. The first version

house, piano chords and a deep bass

    Make it yours
  2. You asked“brighter keys and busier hi-hats”

    Brighter and busier

the same groove, keys up an octave

    Make it yours
  3. You asked“add a breakdown before the drop”

    With a breakdown

a pad, and a break before the drop

    Make it yours

Then ask for changes

Once your song plays, type what it needs. It changes while it plays, and you keep only what you like.

  • Youbrighter keys and busier hi-hats
  • Youadd a breakdown before the drop
  • Youmake the bass quieter
  • Youslower, about 110 BPM
  • Youmake it three minutes long with an ending

When Shawarma is the better choice

  • You need an instrumental

Music under a video, a game, a podcast or your own voice. Nothing to take out.

  • You want one thing changed

The bass is too loud, the drums too busy. Ask for that change and keep the rest.

  • You want to see how it works

Every song is code you can open. Change a number and hear what it does.

Questions

Can Shawarma make songs with vocals?
No. Shawarma makes instrumentals only. If you need a singer, Udio or Suno is the better tool. If you need music under a video, a game or your own voice, Shawarma is made for that.
How is changing a song different here?
You ask for one change, like brighter keys, and only that part changes. The song keeps playing, so you hear the change at once. Nothing is kept until you say so.
Can I use the music in my videos?
You own what you make and can use it in your videos and games. Some built-in sounds ask for a credit; the list is on the Terms page.
Is it free?
You can make, edit and share songs for free. The assistant and WAV and MP3 export come with Pro, with 5 assistant replies free to try it.

The sounds that ask for a credit: Sound credits on the Terms page.
